At Elk Recruitment, we are looking for a driven Air Tightness and Ventilation Engineer to join our client’s growing team based in Leinster. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Air Tightness and Ventilation Engineer to make a real impact in an innovative and growing organization.

Your new role includes:

  • Conduct air tightness and ventilation testing in line with industry standards and best practices.
  • Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to optimize designs for air tightness.
  • Identify sources of air leakage and recommend remediation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and energy efficiency regulations.
  • Train and educate clients and team members on the importance of air tightness and energy efficiency.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends related to air tightness and building performance.
Experience you need:
  • Experience required in the ventilation industry and/or already registered as an NSAI/INAB
  • A broad industry understanding of the types of ventilation options/systems (natural, CMEV/DCV/MVHR etc.), their design and testing requirements under Part (F)
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in building science, HVAC systems, or energy engineering.
  • Proficiency in air tightness testing methods and equipment.
  • Strong understanding of building codes and energy regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Certifications in energy auditing or building performance analysis are a plus.
