At Elk Recruitment, we are looking for a driven CNC Operator to join our client’s growing team based in Meath. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced CNC Operator to make a real impact in an innovative and growing organization.

Your new role includes:

Set up and operate CNC machines to fulfill job orders for custom joinery pieces
Read and interpret technical plans and drawings
Perform regular maintenance and cleaning on machines to ensure proper functioning
Adjust machine settings to meet specifications and ensure accuracy of finished products
Monitor machines during operation and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
Perform quality checks on finished products and make adjustments as necessary
Report any malfunctions or defects to the appropriate department
Ensure all safety procedures are followed at all times
Train and mentor junior CNC operators as needed

Experience you need:

Minimum of 1 years of experience as a CNC Operator, preferably in the joinery or woodworking industry
In-depth knowledge of CNC programming and operation
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and plans
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain precision
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
Familiarity with woodworking tools and techniques
Experience with CAD/CAM software is a plus
Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures
Secondary school diploma or equivalent, technical degree or certification is a plus
