At Elk Recruitment, we are looking for a driven CNC Operator to join our client’s growing team based in Meath. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced CNC Operator to make a real impact in an innovative and growing organization.

Your new role includes:
  • Set up and operate CNC machines to fulfill job orders for custom joinery pieces
  • Read and interpret technical plans and drawings
  • Perform regular maintenance and cleaning on machines to ensure proper functioning
  • Adjust machine settings to meet specifications and ensure accuracy of finished products
  • Monitor machines during operation and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
  • Perform quality checks on finished products and make adjustments as necessary
  • Report any malfunctions or defects to the appropriate department
  • Ensure all safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Train and mentor junior CNC operators as needed
Experience you need:
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience as a CNC Operator, preferably in the joinery or woodworking industry
  • In-depth knowledge of CNC programming and operation
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and plans
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain precision
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
  • Familiarity with woodworking tools and techniques
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software is a plus
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures
  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent, technical degree or certification is a plus
