- Process sales transactions quickly and accurately at the trade counter.
- Handle customer queries and complaints in a professional and efficient manner.
- Build and maintain relationships with regular trade customers, ensuring repeat business.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of hardware products, including tools, materials, and other trade-related items.
- Actively promote sales and special offers to customers, ensuring product knowledge is up to date.
- Identify and recommend add-ons or alternative products to meet customer needs.
- Ensure stock levels are maintained and that the trade counter is fully stocked with high-demand items.
- Assist in stock checks and inventory management when required.
- Process trade customer orders and ensure correct items are pulled from stock.
- Assist in the efficient and timely loading of customer orders.
- Handle any special orders or customer requirements as needed.
- Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth operations within the branch.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior staff or new team members on product knowledge and customer service standards.
- Adhere to health and safety standards within the store and trade counter.
- Ensure safe handling and storage of all products, particularly heavy or hazardous materials.
- Trade Counter experience 1 year minimum
- Forklift ticket
