Your new role includes:

Provide expert advice and assistance to trade customers, ensuring they receive the right products and services for their projects.
Process sales transactions quickly and accurately at the trade counter.
Handle customer queries and complaints in a professional and efficient manner.
Build and maintain relationships with regular trade customers, ensuring repeat business.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of hardware products, including tools, materials, and other trade-related items.
Actively promote sales and special offers to customers, ensuring product knowledge is up to date.
Identify and recommend add-ons or alternative products to meet customer needs.
Ensure stock levels are maintained and that the trade counter is fully stocked with high-demand items.
Assist in stock checks and inventory management when required.
Process trade customer orders and ensure correct items are pulled from stock.
Assist in the efficient and timely loading of customer orders.
Handle any special orders or customer requirements as needed.
Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth operations within the branch.
Assist in training and mentoring junior staff or new team members on product knowledge and customer service standards.
Adhere to health and safety standards within the store and trade counter.
Ensure safe handling and storage of all products, particularly heavy or hazardous materials.

Experience you need:

Trade Counter experience 1 year minimum
Forklift ticket
