At Elk Recruitment, we are looking for a driven Window and Door Fitter to join our client’s growing team based in Cork. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Window and Door Fitter to make a real impact in an innovative and growing organization.

Your new role includes:
  • Measure and fit windows accurately into window openings, ensuring proper sealing and alignment.
  • Inspect window frames and structural openings before installation. Ensure they are level, plumb, and free from defects.
  • Handle and transport windows, frames, and other materials to and from the worksite.
  • Use hand tools and power tools, such as drills, saws, and caulking guns, to cut, shape, and install window components.
  • Apply weatherproofing and insulation materials to ensure windows are sealed and energy-efficient.
  • Remove old windows and frames and replace them with new ones, performing repairs when necessary.
  • Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to industry safety standards.
  • Interact with customers to provide updates on the installation process and answer any questions regarding window fitting.
Experience you need:
  • Window installer experience
  • Knowledge of window installation techniques, measurements, and tools.
  • Ability to work in physically demanding environments
  • Precision in measuring and cutting materials for accurate window installation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during installation.
  • Good communication skills for working with clients, team members, and supervisors.
  • Previous experience in window fitting or a related field is often preferred.
  • A valid driving license and any relevant trade certifications
